ANDROID NOUGAT RELEASE DATE

2014’s Android Lollipop only came with one preview version only. Meanwhile, there were three preview versions of Android Marshmallow! And now with 2016’s Android Nougat, the fifth and final preview has been released earlier last month! So it looks like Google is really pushing hard on this new Android OS! Typically the final version of this OS will not arrive until October, but with such agressive development schedule, we expect that Android Nougat release date will be a bit earlier this year!
And that’s not only an expectation! According to Evan Blass – a famous phone leaker, Android Nougat release date will be in this month! Moreover, a recent post on Reddit also shares that one Nexus 6P user was unexpectedly pushed to Android 7.0 build NRD90M when he was attempting to ditch the Nougat preview and return to Android Marshmallow! In case you don’t know, R in the code stands for “release”! This is another sign that the new OS will arrive very very soon!
So how about Google Nexus 6P? Traditionally Google releases its new OS along side with a Nexus device! But we all know that Nexus 6P has been released already earlier this year! So either the brand are going to break their own tradition, or another Nexus phone is coming!

Android Nougat release date: What is new in this OS?

First, this OS allows users to use two or more apps at the same time by dividing its screen into parts! Moreover, the notification panel is also changed. In this Android OS, notifications from the same app are grouped into one single notification. Users just need to tap the bundled notification to see the detailed messages!

10 OF THE BEST 6GB RAM SMARTPHONE TO BUY

If you are seeking a new 6GB RAM smartphone, check out our List of 10 of the best 6GB RAM smartphones

1. OnePlus 3

OnePlus 3. Design-wise, it is the first OnePlus’s flagship to be crafted into a premium aluminium unibody which makes it look definitely different from previous editions. However, we think it is so similar to many other current Chinese handsets out there.
Anyway, OnePlus 3 specs do make the firm proud. They include 6GB RAM for sure, a 5.5-inch Full HD optic AMOLED screen, Oxygen OS based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, a Snapdragon 820 chip, and 64GB ROM (non-expandable). About camera, the main one is capable of 16 megapixels with f/2.0, PDAF, OIS, and LED flas while the secondary is 8 megapixels. Under the hood stays a 3,000mAh battery which is not very impressive to be honest. We expected something bigger. Yet, OnePlus made things seem better by equipping the phone with Dash Charge technology (60% in 30 minutes).

2. LeEco Le Max 2

Next, we have a LeEco’s product. Le Max 2 was the first 6GB RAM smartphone of the manufacturer launched in April. It sports a big 5.7-inch Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 820 processor, EUI 5.5 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, and a 3,100mAh cell with Quick Charge 3.0 tech. Not stopping there, LeEco Le Max 2 specs also contains us a dual SIM, 4G LTE connectivity, a USB Type-C port, and two choices over RAM and ROM capacity: 4GB RAM + 32GB RAM and 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM. As for photography, you can use either its 21MP Sony IMX230 rear-facing or 8MP front snapper to take pictures.

3. ASUS ZenFone 3

DeluxeASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe is one of the members of the Zen 3 series released this year. Nonetheless, it is the most powerful thanks to boasting whooping 6GB RAM under the hood. Besides, other ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe specs are also pretty good: a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, a dual SIM, ASUS ZenUI 3.0 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, a Snapdragon 820 chip, 64/128/256GB ROM (expandable up to 256GB), and a 3,000mAh battery with Quich Charge 3.0. And you know what, its shooters are gonna make you excited since the primary one is capable of up to 23 megapixels with f/2.0, laser/phase detection autofocus, OIS (4-axis) plus dual LED flash and the seflie cam is 8 megapixels with f/2.0 plus 1080p.

4. ZTE Axon

ZTE is one of the most well-known smartphone companies in China, so it also needs to produce a 6GB RAM device, rite?! And that’s why we have ZTE Axon 7 here. It was introduced in May with a 5.5-inch 2K AMOLED display, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS with MiFavor UI 4.0 on top, a Snapdragon 820 chip set, a combo of 20MP rear (with f/1.8, PDAF, OIS, dual LED flash) + 8MP front-facing camera, 64/128GB ROM (expandable) paired with 4/6GB RAM, respectively, Dolby Atmos tech, and a 3,140mAh cell with Quick Charge 3.0. Well, ZTE Axon 7 is really a dream smartphone, don’t you think?

5. Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro

Not long ago, Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro was released. Being a successor to Lenovo ZUK Z1 2015, the device seems much stronger thanks to sporting a 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 820 chipset, a 3,100mAh battery supported by Quick Charge 3.0 tech, Android Marshmallow OS, 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM. Furthermore, there are a combo of 13MP ISOCELL rear (with f/1.8, 4K video recording, plus PDAF) + 8MP f/2.0 front-facing shooter, a fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE and VoLTE support on board to support the Z2 Pro.

6. ZTE Nubia Z11

Well, ZTE has not just made one 6GB RAM phone this year but up to two. The second one is ZTE Nubia Z11, which was announced in June. Spec-wise, it owns a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS LCD screen, a dual SIM, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS with Nubia UI 4.0 on top, a Snapdragon 820 processor, 64/128GB ROM (expandable) paired with 4/6GB RAM, a 16MP main + 8MP selfie snapper package, Dolby Atmos sound technology, and a 3,000mAh batt with Quick Charge 3.0. Furthermore, Vernee Apollo specs even include force touch tech, a fantastic set of 21MP Sony rear plus 8MP front cam, a USB Type-C port, 128GB ROM, 6GB RAM, and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS. What makes it more special is Vernee Apollo price set at $399. What a price for a 6GB RAM smart mobile, right?!

9. Samsung Galaxy Note 7

Though Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has not been officially launched yet, there have been many reports confirming that it’s gonna get 6GB of RAM besides other excellent features such as a Snapdragon 823 or Exynos 8890 processor, 64GB of expandable ROM, a set of 12MP rear + 5MP snapper, a 3,600mAh battery, and a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED 2K display. Furthermore, the upcoming phone of Sammy has also been said to run on Android N OS and pack an iris scanner and a USB Type-C port. Can’t wait to see such a stellar phablet!

10. Xiaomi Mi Note 2

Last but not least in this we have a Xiaomi’s 6GB RAM smartphone: Xiaomi Mi Note 2. Actually it has been rumored for months that the handset will feature 6GB RAM and many latest pieces of news have also talked about that, too. Additionally, they mentioned a 5.7-inch screen with different resolution for consumers to choose: Full HD and Quad HD (which would come with a curved  display and Force Touch technology).

SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket on Sunday returned safely to Earth

SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket on Sunday returned safely to Earth, touching down at Landing Zone 1 after launching the Dragon spacecraft into low-Earth orbit.
This is the second such landing at Cape Canaveral by a returning Falcon 9 rocket. The first was Falcon 9 Flight 20's return on Dec. 22. SpaceX also accomplished three successful drone-ship landings this spring.
"As with previous first stage land and drone-ship landings from SpaceX, this achievement is a testament to the leadership and innovation of America's commercial space industry," NASA spokesperson Cheryl Warner told TechNewsWorld.
The Dragon's 5,000-lb. payload included science and crew supplies, a space suit, and an international docking adapter that will enable commercial spacecraft to dock to the station when transporting astronauts as part of NASA's upcoming Commercial Crew Program.
The ISS crew will use the station's 58-foot robotic arm to reach out and capture the Dragon spacecraft, and attach it to the station at 7 a.m. ET on Wednesday.

Reusable Rockets on the Way?
"This is an exciting time, as we will all soon find out whether reusability really is the key to unlocking lower launch costs and higher levels of space activity, but it will probably be at least another year before early results can be measured and properly analyzed," noted Micah Walter-Range, director of research and analysis at the space foundation
"Before I say this is the age of reusable rockets, I would want to see them being reflown with paying customers or cargo aboard, and the companies making a higher profit as a result," he told TechNewsWorld.
"If it turns out that the cost of inspecting and refurbishing flown hardware eats up the cost savings from not having to build new hardware, there's no net gain," Walter-Range noted.
"In real terms, the cost to lift a pound into orbit has declined by about 90 percent since the beginning of the Space Age," noted Michael Jude, a program manager at Stratecast/Frost & Sullivan.
"Launch costs will need to decline by nearly as much," he told TechNewsWorld. "Part of this will be the cost of launch hardware, but the real cost driver is the overhead associated with assembly, management and payload deployment."
Been There, Done That
There were two efforts to make reusable rockets in the 1980s, noted Jim McGregor, a principal analyst at Tirias Research.
One was a single stage to orbit -- a single-stage rocket that could launch and land in one piece. The other was the National Aerospace Plane, or NASP -- the Rockwell X-30.
The NASP was designed to "replace the space shuttle and be able to fly directly into space at Mach 25 (25 times the speed of sound)," McGregor told TechNewsWorld. "Unfortunately, the Clinton administration killed both efforts."
The return of the Falcon 9's first stage to land safely at Landing Zone 1 shows SpaceX "should reduce the number of future failures to recover the booster," he suggested. "It's a step in regaining lost momentum in our space technology, [and] will make delivering people and equipment to space less expensive."
What does SpaceX's success imply for NASA's future?
"NASA is really becoming irrelevant in terms of launch capability," Jude suggested. It's definitely the high-cost carrier."
NASA "is probably much more useful providing an incentive for commercial launch operations," he said. "If commercial carriers begin taking astronauts to the ISS, its costs will decline," and that might lead it to contract for most of its space initiatives.
The Next Challenge for SpaceX
SpaceX is planning an unmanned mission to Mars in 2018 or 2019, Jude said. NASA "is ponying up some money to help, but it will be a SpaceX operation."
The Mars mission will require a "fully functional Falcon 9 Heavy and a substantial number of improvements on the Dragon capsule," Jude noted. "If it can accomplish this, then it will be ahead of the competition.

Teal Drone

Teal on Wednesday introduced what it billed as the world's fastest production drone. Aside from its drone's capabilities, the company is drawing attention because George Matus Jr., its founder and CEO, is an 18-year-old recent high school graduate.
The drone can fly at 70 mph in all weather conditions and has reached a top speed of 85 mph in favorable conditions. It can withstand 40 mph winds, is built to run apps, and can be controlled using a smartphone, tablet or hobby controller. It comes with a one-year warranty.
"For certain segments of the market, especially racers, this will be of interest," said Jim McGregor, principal analyst at Tirias Research.
"This isn't a drone for the average consumer; it's for the techies that want that latest and greatest, and the ability to make modifications,"
The United States Federal Aviation Administration last month passed new regulations governing drones.
The Teal is "well within the allowable characteristics of the rule,"
http://www.technewsworld.com/adsys/count/7336/?nm=adx_t160-1&ENN_rnd=14693579928643&ign=0/ign.gif
Pricing and Purchasing
Teal is taking preorders for the US$1,300 drone.
Buyers will get the drone, two high-performance flight batteries, a charger, two sets of propellers, expansion cables and some surprises.
The first 500 orders will get the Signature Series, which adds an Endurance Package that doubles the drone's 10-minute flight time.
The first drones will ship before Christmas, Teal's Matus told TechNewsWorld. General availability is slated for early 2017.
The Teal Drone's Tech Specs
The drone weighs 730 gm, has a payload capacity of 500 gm, and is made from carbon-infused polycarbonate plastic.
Connectivity options include three USB 2 ports, one USB 3 port, and one HDMI 2.0 port.
Its maximum range exceeds 5,000 feet.
Its 13-MP camera has electronic stabilization and can record videos in up to 4K at 24 fps. It can provide live video streams of up to 720p. The camera supports all SD card types and is compatible with virtual reality headsets.
The drone has a 64-bit ARM A57 CPU, a 1 TFLOP/s 256-core Nvidia TX1 GPU, 16 GB of eMMC storage, SDIO and SATA storage.
It supports geofencing. Other features include autonomous flight and automatic landing. A sensing and avoidance camera feature is in the works.
Software Lineup
The Teal drone uses the Teal OS, which is written in C.
It will be offered with an SDK and APIs, and "we'll be building out apps in the fall before we start shipping," Matus said.
The main control application for the Teal drone is a command-and-control app. Teal and Neurala are codeveloping a Follow Me app that employs image recognition algorithms used by NASA and the U.S. Air Force. It will let the drone follow a person or object using real-time object recognition.
However, "I don't see a huge need for users to run apps on drones," commented Rob Enderle, principal analyst at the Enderle Group.
"Most people just want the thing to be easy to use and not crash," he told TechNewsWorld.
Making drones that work like PCs "increases the risk of viruses and rogue drones, and you introduce unreliability," Enderle said.
Cracking the Market
Teal's main competitor is DJI, which currently claims 70 percent of the market. DJI this spring introduced its latest drone, the Matrice 600.
DJI focuses on aerial photography, noted Matus, while Teal "is going after four different audiences: the consumer who's never flown before, hobbyists, racers, and developers who want to push their apps."
"We can speculate how great the drone will be against the competition," said Enderle, "but we can't compare a product not in market to one in market."
Teal's current focus is on getting traction in the market."Later, when we get higher volume and increase our market share, we'll look into making money," Matus said. "We've discussed this with our VCs, and evaluated market demand and opportunities in the future."

feminine smart watch

Smartwatches continue to be a hot theme heading into 2016, and China's Huawei has some of the most handsome offerings.
The Watch Jewel and Watch Elegant, selling in early 2016 for $599 US and $499, run Google's Android Wear software and are aimed at women.
The Watch Jewel has 68 Swarovski zirconia crystals surrounding its circular 42-mm body. The watch face is always on in low power mode and lights up into full activity when tapped.
"We wanted it to be more feminine and something that women would be more attracted to," says spokesperson Chase Skinner

Dolby Atmos new sound for home theaters

In the quarter century since Dolby first introduced home-theater surround sound, the systems have grown steadily more sophisticated: first two audio channels, then five, then seven. But the sound has always been two-dimensional, surrounding listeners in a ring, not a dome. With Atmos, Dolby and its A/V partners (Pioneer, Marantz, and Onkyo, to name a few) have added a third dimension: height, which audio engineers can use to place individual sounds anywhere in a 3-D space. Imagine watching Godzilla while helicopter rotors beat overhead.
Atmos systems consist of a receiver and at least eight speakers, two of which handle overhead audio. A processor within the receiver interprets up to 118 object tracks and precisely places sounds in any environment. The receiver then assigns object tracks to as many as 34 speakers in a room. For overhead sound, users can either install ceiling-mounted speakers or opt for Atmos-enabled floor or bookshelf models, which have upward-firing drivers that ricochet sound off the ceiling to create the illusion that it’s coming from above. This fall, studios began including Atmos tracks on select Blu-ray discs and streaming services such as Vudu. Your living room will never sound the same.

Smart bike

If given enough time, any determined thief can wrest a bicycle free. Lock8 reimagines bicycle security by using hardware and software to detect and respond to a potential theft. A gyroscope, an accelerometer, and a temperature sensor can pick up on a variety of assaults, including bolt cutters, chainsaws, blowtorches, and ice sprays. And the system will respond to any threat by blaring an alarm and sending alerts to a phone.

The brainchild of an ER doctor and an economist, Lock8 weighs less than a pound and connects to a bicycle’s rear hub. The accompanying app provides keyless entry, and by sharing the e-key, anyone can loan or rent his or her bicycle. European bike-share programs are the first to use Lock8; it’s being released this month. The company also plans to develop models for consumers.

Next Generation phone

Apple’s iPhone arguably led the pack for the last smartphone generation, but with Samsung taking some of Cupertino’s momentum away in recent months, leadership isn’t so defined this year. In many ways, we’re back to where we were before the iPhone, when Palm, RIM and Microsoft fought for leadership of the market, before Apple and Google stormed in to split it up. I think we are ready for another clear leader. But this will take a company with vision and the willingness to step away from the pack.
There are three features I think will define the next-generation phone.

One phone, two personalities, iron-clad walls between

A lot of folks carry two phones today, and they long to return to a time when they had to carry just one. They need a single phone that can contain two numbers and have a completely separate personal and business personalities they can switch between, with one interface, and security to keep each side separate. In other words, your boss shouldn’t be able to pry into what you’re doing on your time, and apps you install on your own shouldn’t be able to violate company security policies.
Whether this means the phone will need two SIMs, or a virtual SIM that has two personalities, is still unclear. But it’s clear the market wants a single phone that can handle two roles, and that phone hasn’t arrived yet.

Cheap international roaming

A huge number of smartphone users travel outside of the country, but they either have to suffer through massive roaming charges, or bring a separate phone with a native SIM to make inexpensive calls from inside the country. Roaming on the phone can cost upwards of $9 a minute, with a megabyte of data costing even more. Rates like that can make talking or downloading one of the biggest expenses of a vacation or business trip.
The next-generation phone will have the ability to dynamically load the equivalent of a local SIM and incur charges at local rates, either billed or prepaid, to keep the costs down and make traveling with one phone and all of your features affordable.

Virtual PBX

A PBX, or Private Branch Exchange, is what companies have used for years to connect employees, but they are mostly on their last legs or completely obsolete. Companies are paying for multiple lines and multiple numbers, and often have to use “follow me” services to first ring the employee office phone and then route it to their cell phone, even though a call to the cell phone would be more certain because the employee carries it.
Being able to link a smartphone with full forwarding and response capability to a virtual or physical VoIP PBX is not only possible, it is a feature in shipping VoIP PBXs… but it isn’t yet elegantly integrated into the smartphone experience. I think the next generation smartphone will have this capability.

Hardware advancements

Along with everything above, the next-generation smartphone will sport some hardware advancements we’ve seen before that never quite went mainstream. For instance, wireless charging is a given, since the biggest complaint with current-generation phones is lousy battery life. Better security would be number two, since passwords are inadequate and the information on a phone can be used to gain access to secure company resources and steal information. More balanced cameras with anti-shake technology and better lenses should also eliminate the difference between that point-and-shoot camera you are always leaving at home and your smartphone.

Healthy Living

How do you want to look and feel by this time next year? If your goal is to be thinner, happier, or healthier, you can achieve it just by making small adjustments to your lifestyle. See how, over the course of a year, tiny changes can have a surprisingly big impact.

If You…Lose One Pound a Week

Next year: A pound-a-week loss seems so minimal, and yet think about it: At that rate, you’ll be 52 pounds lighter in a year. But if you are overweight, you don’t have to drop 52 pounds to be healthier: Losing just 5 to 10 percent of your body weight can improve your blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugars, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. And that can reduce your risk of big-trouble diseases, including cardiovascular disease (still the number-one killer in the United States) and diabetes (which currently affects more than 25 million Americans).

If You…Take a Lap Around Your Local Big-Box Store

Next year: If once a week you take a turn around the inside of a mega-store before you begin shopping, you’ll walk 12 extra miles over a year: That big U shape you trace by walking the outermost aisles of the average big-box store adds up to an extra quarter-mile of walking each time.

If You…Take the Stairs

Next year: You will have burned double the calories you would by riding the elevator. A 160-pound woman would burn about 4,940 calories a year—1.4 pounds—if she took three minutes to briskly climb the stairs every workday (carrying 1 to 15 pounds of stuff with her). That stair habit could burn the equivalent of 11½ Hershey bars. On the flip side, standing in an elevator for three minutes barely burns 10 calories, for a total of just 2,480 calories over a year, not even enough to torch a pound (to do that, you’d have to burn or cut out 3,500 calories).

If You…Cut Out One Cookie a Day

Next year: You will have eliminated 21,170 calories. That’s enough to drop six pounds. Cut more, lose more, of course.

If You…Use Oil Instead of Butter

Next year: You may have reduced your risk of heart disease by 19 percent in a year’s time. In a review published in PLOS Medicine in March 2010, researchers from the Harvard School of Public Health noted that drop in risk when they analyzed research on more than 13,000 people who swapped out saturated fat (that’s in butter, as well as red meat) for polyunsaturated fat (in soybean oil and canola oil) for at least a year.

If You…Cut Out a Few Hours of TV Time

Next year: You may have slashed your risk of an early death. A study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine in 2011 found that people who watched TV for six hours a day had shorter lives—by about 4.18 years—than people who didn’t watch TV. In fact, the researchers say that every hour of TV watched after the age of 25 reduces life expectancy by 21.8 minutes. But TV itself is not the culprit: It’s sitting for prolonged periods that can shorten your life. In a 2010 study, in the American Journal of Epidemiology, women who logged in some six hours of sitting time during their nonworking hours were 37 percent more likely to die earlier than peers who sat for just three hours over the course of a day (outside of work). Sedentary men, meanwhile, were 18 percent more likely to die earlier than their more active peers, according to the study. It’s possible, the researchers say, that sitting could suppress enzymes involved in the metabolism of fats or may somehow indirectly affect cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, and other markers of health. Going to the gym daily isn’t enough to change the stats: The key is to find ways to stand and move more during the day. Some experts recommend getting up from your chair every 30 minutes or less.

If You…Call One Old Friend a Month

Next year: That’s 12 people with whom you’ve rekindled or strengthened your friendship, and research has found that people with stronger personal bonds are 50 percent more likely to outlive their less social peers. There’s no magic amount of phone calls/e-mails/coffee dates that protects you, so if you want to check in with one friend (new or old) every week—or even every day—have at it.

If You…Go to Bed One Minute Earlier

Next year: Going to bed a minute earlier every night for just two months will earn you an extra hour of sleep pretty painlessly (a minute earlier a day for a year would gain you an extra six hours of sleep each night, which we hope is more than you actually need). There are compelling reasons to get those zzz’s (other than less money spent on coffee). Shortage of sleep is associated with a higher risk of obesity, diabetes, and heart problems, a decreased ability to pay attention, increased chances of car accidents, and diminished memory capacity.
